Kelly left the station after serving for 25 years. She went to work briefly for KCBS-TV before her retirement from the television in 2001. On August 29, 2009, Colleen did not miss the 61st Emmy Awards that was held at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences based in North Hollywood, California.
