Curro School Fees and the Branches Where they Are Located

Curro school is a leading for-profit independent South African school network that provides quality education for learners from three months to Grade 12. Currently, the Curro School fees for primary school pupils is pegged at R3 920, while high school learners pay between R4 475 and R4 500.

A section of this article also contains a comprehensive list of all the branches of the school across South Africa and their addresses. Established in 1998, Curro was listed on the JSE (AltX) on the 2nd day of June 2011 and later moved to the JSE main board in July 2012.

Curro school was founded in July 1998 in a church in Vierlanden by Dr. Chris van der Merwe alongside his beautiful wife Stephnie and three other founders called Thys Franken, Eddie Conradie, and Boetie Ungerer.

Curro began with 28 learners even though Chris and Stephnie’s initial plan was to teach forty learners in Grade 4, precisely in English and Afrikaans. The former would take the English group and the latter the Afrikaans.

The couple had wanted to rent four to six bedrooms, where they would transfer learners who graduated from Grade 4 to Grade 5, then Grade 6, and lastly Grade 7, and by then, they would have registered the next Grade 4s. Both Chris and his wife were deputy heads at their respective schools before Curro School was formally established.

Stephnie was with Parow North Primary School while her husband worked at Fanie Theron Primary School. Today, the academic institution boasts over 59 970 learners, 76 campuses, and 177 schools. Curro also provides tertiary education through Stadio Holdings.

Curro school fee structure varies. The primary school classes pay a different amount from learners in high school. The school fee of primary school pupils is pegged at R3 920. Learners’ fees are determined by considering all aspects involved in maintaining high-quality education at the school and subject-expert teachers, as well as other services offered by Curro.

One of the benefits of the school’s online learning is that there are no extra costs throughout the year, such as buying class photos or paying excursion fees. If your child or ward is a high school learner, the cost of tuition at Curro is between R4 475 – R4 500.

You can check how much the course you want to study will cost by visiting the school’s website or any of their branches closest to you. You can also reach out to them through their

There are three ways you can comfortably pay your child’s school fees at Curro. They include:

1. Monthly Payment (via debit order)

For monthly payments, Curro mostly prefers parents to pay via debit order. The academic institution believes the debit order method is a safe and secure way to minimize administrative issues on their part and to ensure that payment reaches them in time.

2. Annual payment (via EFT)

You can save on monthly school fees by paying upfront. You can pay your child’s school fees for the year upfront via an electronic funds transfer (EFT) directly into the school’s bank account. Parents usually save a percentage on monthly school fees when they pay through this payment option.

3. Capitec’s credit for education

Parents can also get credit with Capitec to kick-start their children’s academic success. The process begins with an application that takes only a few easy steps. Parents can get up to R250 000 offers within minutes.

Interestingly, with this method, you’ll get a discounted interest rate and an extended-term (up to 24 months) to suit your child’s educational needs. How it works is that once your application is approved, Curro will receive the money directly from Capitec on your behalf.

One of the interesting things about this payment method is that it is designed to help parents not bother themselves much when it comes to their child’s education and securing their future.
