Prior to joining WCVB, Erika was working for News 4 New York, NBC’s flagship station in New York City.

While there, she anchored the weekend newscast and  was also a primary fill-in co-anchor for WNBC’s weekday morning newscast show called “Today in New York.” Erika has reported on major stories such as the death of Pope John Paul II as well as the election of Pope Benedict. She also covered Superstorm Sandy and the tragic shootings in Newtown, CT.

Erika started working for News 4 New York as their general assignment reporter in December 2007. Before Erika joined NBC4, she was a general assignment reporter at WVIT-TV in Hartford, CT from  October 2005. Before that, Erika worked at News 12 in the Bronx as a general assignment reporter before she was promoted to anchor the weekday morning newscast of the station.

WCVB NewsCenter 5 Announced on July 14, 2021, that Erika would move to Co-anchor “NewsCenter 5 at 5PM” and “NewsCenter 5 at 5:30 PM”. At the same time, Anchor Jessica Brown would join WCVB Channel 5 to Co-anchor “NewsCenter 5 at Noon” and “NewsCenter 5 at 4 PM.” Previously, Erika served as a lead reporter as well as an anchor at Boston’s news channel WCVB.

She started her career at WHDH-TV as a production assistant. Erika joined WVIT in Hartford, Connecticut in October 2005 as their weekday General Assignment Reporter as well as a weekend evening anchor. In December 2007, she started working for WNBC as their general assignment reporter. In February 2014, Erika joined WCVB-TV for NewsCenter 5. While there, she worked as a reporter and anchor replacing Susan Wornick.
