Oscars 2022 Tracee Ellis Ross stuns in a red Carolina Herrera dress while attending the event

Tracee Ellis Ross attended the 94th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood on Sunday.

The 49-year-old performer appeared to be enjoying her time at the event as she flashed a smile while posing for a few glammed-up shots.

Ellis Ross shared a short video to her Instagram Story on Sunday to show her fans how she was preparing for the big night.

In the clip, the performer was seen spending time at home while she worked with a hairstylist and makeup artist.

The actress, who wore a simple black t-shirt in the video, noted that she and her collaborators were planning on making her stand out during the ceremony.

‘The ladies have done it all and we’re going for something a little fresh. A fresh look for the Oscars,’ she said.

In addition to starring in the series, the actress has directed two of its episodes and serves as one of its producers.

Ellis Ross has also appeared in the show’s first spinoff, Grown-Ish, and she co-created another spinoff entitled Mixed-Ish.

The performer spoke about how she learned more about herself while working on the show during an interview with Parade, where she noted that she was happy to express herself on camera.

‘Honestly, I’m still evolving and learning in that area. Not necessarily out of my identity as a mixed woman, but just out of my identity as a human being,’ she said.

Ellis Ross noted that the show was meant to address themes and experiences that are shared by many viewers.

‘What I identify with, and the way this story is being told, is that it’s a fish out-of-water experience; you’re not the same as everyone, which I think everyone experiences,’ she said.

She added: The truth is that I’m not a narrator on this show, this show is an expression of my memory.’
