Rain Wifi packages and deals are very popular in major South African cities. These services are being subscribed to by thousands of customers every month, which clearly shows the popularity of the mobile telephone operator is growing tremendously.

The brand’s Wifi packages and deals are services offered to customers to make internet data affordable for them. There are many deals and packages to choose from, depending on what a customer wants.

Rain has several Wifi packages and deals that are customer and pocket-friendly. The brand launched its new-generation 4G network on June 4, 2018, in South Africa, which offers services to major cities in South Africa.

Rain’s 5G network with unlimited data and speed reaching up to 700Mbps was launched in South Africa in September 2019. The Standalone 5G covers Johannesburg, Tshwane, and Cape Town.

At the moment, other major locations in South Africa are eagerly anticipating the availability of their services in the regions as Rain plans to extend its 5G coverage to these areas.

Rain (Pty) Ltd, which uses MTN and Vodacom’s network infrastructure to provide its services, provides mobile telephone and internet services, including 3G, 4G, LTE services, and most recently, 5G services. The brand’s parent company is African Rainbow Capital Investments Ltd.

Here are Rain wifi packages and their features.

The 5G network package comes with different plans. They include:

Its features include:

This package also has different plans, and they are:

A. Unlimited 4G for any device

B. 19 hours Unlimited Off-peak for any device

C. Unlimited 4G for Phones

Note:

On Rain packages, monthly data expires at the end of the following month. Customers who did not exhaust all their monthly data by the end of the month are allowed to continue using the next month as the remaining data are rolled over to the next month.

In essence, rolled-over data is consumed first before new data. This roll-over offer is available for the LTE Package.

However, if for any reason you change your package by migrating to a new package in a new month, any leftover data from the previous package will not be rolled over into the new month. You would have to start your new package on a clean slate.

It’s been found that the Rain data sim card works better in a router than in a mobile phone as a hotspot. The network also works very well with Huawei B315 and B618 routers. Other routers that you can use include Vodafone Huawei E5786, E5788, Huawei E5885 MiFi Netgear AC790S, AC791S/L, AC810S, & AC815S Dell 5811e Sierra Wireless EM7430, EM7455, EM7455, MC7430, and MC7455.

However, it is important to note that the network can be affected by peak or off-peak periods. Peak hours basically are between 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. To check real-time problems and outages for Rain, you can simply use the Downdetector website.
