Summary of Kamal Givens’ Biography

Kamal Givens is 42 years old. He was born on March 25, 1981, in the South Central section of Los Angeles, California. He was born under the birth sign of Aries and his birth status allows him to enjoy all the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of an American citizen.

The One Mo’ Chance star belongs to the African American ethnic group. He is one of four children born to his parents, Robert and Claudia Givens. He has an older brother named Sean, and two younger brothers named Ahmad and Micah.

Kamal Givens spent most of his formative years on a horse ranch in South Central Los Angeles, California. However, we have yet to uncover the exact details of his formal education background. Although there are unspecified accounts from various sources claiming that he attended a local high school in the area, this has not been confirmed as true.

Kamal Givens’ close relationship with his siblings gave birth to an artistic endeavor several years ago. All these happened while they were growing up on their parents’ horse ranch in Los Angeles. To get a clear perspective of what went down, it is important to point out that Givens and his siblings have always been drawn to music.

In line with that, the talented rapper teamed up with his younger brothers Ahmad & Micah in the early 2000s to form the music group Stallionaires. The band name was a tribute to where they grew up, a horse ranch where they had a lot of interface with Stallions. They were also primarily focused on the rap music genre.

As a group, they utilized their singing abilities to create and drop 8 singles namely ‘One Mo Chance,’ ‘Does She Love Me,’ ‘Can’t Get Enough Of This Love,’ ‘I See You Walkin,’ ‘I’m Get’n It,’ ‘I’m Bad,’ ‘Come Together’, and ‘Chuzee Luva’. Beyond his achievements with the Stallionaires, not much is known about Kamal’s music career, given that it has essentially taken a back seat to his other endeavor as a reality TV star.

Truth be told, Kamal Givens shot into the limelight with his appearance on several reality TV shows. His journey into this entertainment space began in 2006 when VH1 discovered him and his brother, Ahmad, also known as Real, on their MySpace accounts.

In 2007, they became two among 20 contestants to appear on the Bachelor-style reality TV show titled I Love New York. New York here is not the American state but the reality star Tiffany Pollard, who was nicknamed after the state. Givens was the show’s runner-up after he was eliminated in the 11th episode but returned to I Love New York 2 to help the reality star find love.

Remarkably, Kamal Givens remains the only contestant Pollard publicly admits regret in not picking. Having found popularity as a reality TV star, Givens also competed in other reality TV shows such asI Love Money(2008),Real Chance of Love(2008), andThe Next: 15(2016) among others. Below is a comprehensive list of his filmography.

Before he died in 2015, Ahmad Givens aka Real, was Kamal Givens’ closest sibling. One was involved in whatever the other did. They appeared together on several reality TV shows including I Love New York, Real Chance of Love, Real Chance of Love 2, and Real & Chance (The Legend Hunters).

In 2013, the late rapper and reality TV star was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer which left him needing surgery and chemotherapy. He seemed to have escaped the worst of it after the treatments he received but things became worse in January 2015 after a nasty fall left him bedridden. Kamal Givens’ younger brother succumbed to the disease on February 21, 2015.

His younger brother’s death left him devastated and in pain, emotions which prompted a teary-eyed Instagram tribute where he referred to the late Ahmad as his favorite guy in the world and essentially told him to rest in peace.

At well over 42 years of age, Givens is not married and has never exchanged marital vows with any woman. The motive behind his decision to remain unmarried is something the reality TV star has yet to reveal.

Though not married, Kamal Givens is not single by any means. He has had his share of relationships, including a short-lived spell with I Love New York star, Tiffany Pollard. At the moment, several confirmed sources have revealed that Kamal Givens is in a relationship with a woman known only as Michelle.

No last name was given when the star talked about her, but the relationship reportedly began in 2009 shortly after he ended things with Pollard. Kamal Givens is also a father of a young daughter named Demi Givens. Not much is known about the young lady as the rapper has done a decent job of letting her live her life away from the spotlight.

We must point out that Michelle is not Demi’s mother as Kamal had her with an as-yet-unidentified ex-girlfriend.
