Jacqueline Guzman grew up in Florida and fell in love with acting as a high schooler. Her friends had persuaded her to audition for a part in a production of the play,Almost Maine, and she decided to try it out. She found that she loved it very much as it allowed her to be free, vulnerable, and creative. It was a life-changing experience, and Jacqueline Guzman clung to acting throughout her school days.
She then applied to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and was asked to join the academy’s third-year program. It attracted a huge turnout of civilians and cops, and much of the street was closed for the ceremony. Guzman happened to walk by and found the closure inconvenient. She then started filming a Tik Tok video in which she lambasted the cops for closing off the streets.
She alluded to the fact that cops have been involved in killing innocent people, and their victims did not get the streets closed off for them. She also wondered what would happen if emergency services wanted to pass by. Jacqueline Guzman also went ahead to declare that the cop in question had probably been killed while doing his job improperly.

Jacqueline Guzman’s TikTok video infuriated many people, especially because of the circumstances surrounding Rivera’s death. He had been shot while responding to a domestic violence call and many people condemned Guzman for her disrespectful words online.
The president of the PBA, the largest police union in New York, named Patrick Lynch, also described Guzman’s actions as spreading hate and stated that garbage had polluted the conversation for too long. Another police officer also pointed out that one can highlight the issue of police brutality without devaluating the sacrifice of officers.
The whole blowback cost Jacqueline Guzman her job. Face To Face Films released a statement on social media in which they made it clear that they neither support nor condoned Guzman’s comments. They also stated that they had fired her and that she was no longer part of their company.
The controversy and backlash forced Jacqueline Guzman to delete all her social media accounts. This was most likely to limit the negative comments and threats that people would have sent her way. The actress has since stayed out of the spotlight since then. She will be waiting for an appropriate amount of time to pass so that the whole controversy will blow over, and she will return to pursuing her career and passion.
